Is it just me or does the controversy the Cain campaign is now facing seem conveniently manufactured? I woke this morning to Fox & Friends breaking news on payouts to make sexual harassment charges go away (italics mine). The show was leading with a Geraldo At Large segment where Geraldo was holding a phone with a Cain campaign staffer on the other end quizzing him on the report from two “anonymous” sources. He was asking the staffer if the reports were true; the classic “do you still beat your wife” trap.

Fox has been running this all day. To their credit they at least gave the candidate the opportunity to respond where he acknowledged the false accusations and the possibility that the restaurant association he belonged to at the time may have settled without his knowledge. That has not tempered the speculation in the least. Instead, according to Fox, the candidate should have been out ahead of this rather than formulating strategies to right the nation after the damage the Campaigner in Chief has caused.

So is this the smoking gun Geraldo and others appear to be drooling over or just another Alinksy styled attack designed to derail a credible non-carrier politician who just may unseat the media’s titular head for the Republican nomination? I won’t assign motive, only infer the unique timing as the candidate seems to be knocking the titular head out of his seat.

All too often we are told what to think and who to support. There are things about the candidate that are appealing and things I take issue with. What I will not do is accept another Media promoted choice placed in front of me through propogandist manipulation. This same media refused to vette the current office holder to the Nation’s detriment. Now they want us to support thier right wing of the Progressive Party candidate so they can, at least in my opinion, maintain the big government status quo. My response if they succeed, I will under vote and work to replace him as well.
