The partisanship is escalating as we near the end of what by most accounts will be an election of historical significance. The President continues to use his “drove it into the ditch” analogy; we are meant to accept that every ill facing the nation is the result of eight years under the evil ‘Bush’ doctrine or twelve years under an evil Republican Congress. This to the reasonable thinker ignores nearly a century of Progressive assault on the Constitution. Given the vulnerability of the electorate to thirty second sound spots the underlying theme motivating most voters to get out and vote will be lost. We are told all elections are local yet when we send them to the national capital ‘local’ seems to be lost in the swamp that is congress. So what is the true theme motivating over 500,000 people to attend a rally in the nation’s capital this summer? It is not local. It is national and is clearly expressed in the advertisement from the Chicago Tea Party. Think about its message, then get out and vote!
